Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress, best well-known for her role in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio, dropped out high school and moved to Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. She was struggling to survive at the time she landed her first acting role as Rachel's Room's leading character. In 2002 she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her role as 15-year old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford, a character she played in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was selected for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to focus on a more significant role in films, having appeared opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. In 2007, she starred on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and, opposite the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is an updated version that Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the Lost series in the final two episodes, playing Shannon. She appeared in 2013's seventh season Californication. She is Faith, a groupie who serves as a model for celebrities and attracts the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Maggie Gyllenhaal.........................Margalit Ruth Gyllenhaal ( born November 16 1977) is an American actress and filmmaker. She is part of the Gyllenhaal family and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first appearances were in the films of her father in his adolescent years. Along with her brother, she appeared on the screen in Donnie Darko (2000). The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performance as a lead character actress in Secretary (2002) which is the erotic drama about romance as well as Sherrybaby (2006). She was also nominated by her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. Her fame grew when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercials she appeared in during 2006. The film was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress due to her part on the film Crazy Heart, (2009). The following years she appeared in comedy and dramatic films: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. In addition, she appeared as a Secret Service Agent in White House Down, an action-packed thriller released in 2013, as well as a singer on the set of Frank (2014), and The lead in The Kindergarten Teacher, a film that debuted in the year 2018. In 2021 Gyllenhaal made her writing and directing debut with the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded an award at the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
